GRUNT: Sexual health campaign for gay, bi and queer transmen launches in Canberra
The AIDS Action Council, in partnership with PASH.tm and the Australian Federation of AIDS Organisations (AFAO), is delighted to launch the GRUNT campaign at The Old Canberra Inn.
GRUNT is a sexual health campaign about hot, fun and informed sex between trans guys and cis guys
and provides accurate, inclusive and sex positive sexual health information. The campaign was developed by PASH.tm, The Peer Advocacy Network for the Sexual Health of Trans Masculinities and has been well received at Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne launch events.
Executive Director of the AIDS Action Council, Philippa Moss says “the Council is excited to support this campaign and celebrate its official launch in Canberra.
“GRUNT is the first sexual health promotion campaign in Australia dedicated to the needs of trans men. Visual representations of trans men are critical in campaigns focussing on sexual health so it is great for us to see this targeted campaign developed by such an active peer advocacy network” Ms Moss said.
The GRUNT campaign includes a website (www.grunt.org.au), a booklet, a poster and post card series and social media presence. The Council will be distributing the booklets, posters and postcards over the coming weeks.
Over 50 people were welcomed to this inclusive event to celebrate and support gay, bi and queer trans men and see local Pole Dancer Extraordinaire JOIE and Lismore DJ Kimo Orlando.
