SWOP ACT and AIDS Action Council of the ACT are proud to bring THE PINK HOUSE to Canberra for a special event screening.
The foundation of sex positivity is simply the idea that all healthy and explicitly consensual sex is a positive element in life.
Sex positivity means maintaining a healthy attitude towards sex and valuing it, given your individual needs. Sex positivity also embraces the idea of being sexually educated and staying safe. Individuals who are sex positive actively decide how and what they want from their sex lives, rather than let others dictate it.
Play & Pleasure is a multi session skills and relationship building workshop for men who have sex with men. Inspired by the philosophy of sex positivity, our Peer Support Team have developed the program to help men build the confidence, knowledge and skills necessary to have the sex they want. Play & Pleasure creates a fun, social and informal environment for facilitators to share ideas about sex positivity and how to achieve a more healthy relationship, while providing up to date information and fulfilling skills to take home and improve your own sex life! Each session is hosted in the large function room, allowing space for participants to enjoy dinner during the session and network with other attendees. Read more about each session below - you can choose to attend the sessions that particularly interest you, or come along to every session. Whether you're attending solo, bringing a partner or as part of a group, we hope you'll join us to talk about the sex you want!

CONNECT WITH THE COUNCIL
As the year draws to a close, I want to thank all our funders, supporters, peers, members, colleagues, friends and most importantly clients, who have worked with and alongside us in 2017.
The central focus of our work, this year, remained on HIV transmission and supporting people impacted by HIV. This year we have seen some of the most critical developments in the HIV epidemic since records began. This year, we have seen historically high rates of testing, earlier treatment than ever before, and the emergence of the enormous prevention benefits from two key biomedical approaches to HIV prevention, pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and early treatment.

World AIDS Day is held on 1 December each year. It raises awareness across the world and in the community about HIV and AIDS.
