As 2018 draws to an end and the festive season here upon us, it is a great time to share the love and donate to the Trevor Daley Fund (TDF).
TDF supports people living with HIV. This year we have assisted new and existing clients to support their journey to live well with HIV. We have provided assistance with basic living needs such as accommodation, medical expenses and food. And with growing pressure for assistance, we need your help.
To all Members of the AIDS Action Council of the ACT Incorporated:
NOTICE is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the
AIDS Action Council of the ACT Incorporated
To be held on Wednesday 28 November 2018 from 5:30 pm at:
Federation Room, Havelock House85 Northbourne Avenue, Turner ACT 2602
As organisations, leaders and allies of diverse lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) communities, we stand united in our call on all Australian governments to ensure that every person can go to school, work or access services free from discrimination.
Australians voted for fairness and equality last year, not to entrench discrimination against LGBTI people and their families.
The Silver Rainbow LGBTI Aged Care Awareness Training Project is managed by the National LGBTI Heath Alliance and is being delivered collaboratively with project partners across every state and territory in Australia. It is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health until June 2020.
Rainbow Families events are an opportunity for families with LGBTIQ identifying parents and/ or children to come together as families to connect and celebrate their family’s uniqueness in a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental environment. Events provide a great opportunity for families to form new friendships, or catch up for fun activities with existing friends. Each event reflects the Council's values of Respect, Inclusiveness, Partnership and Empowerment, and have lasting positive impacts on our overall community.
