‘Play and Pleasure: let’s talk about the sex you want’ is AIDS Action Councils’ new health campaign aimed at improving men’s communication when negotiating sex with partners and reinforces the key message that pleasure and prevention go hand in hand.

Complementary drink, nibbles, great prizes to win and Melbourne based sex educator, artist and comedian Adam Seymour, fresh from his award winning performances at Melbourne Comedy Festival is headlining the launch with his cheeky and educational show, Wank Bank

Mature aged gays men’s network (MAGNET)

A social group for mature aged gay men meeting at a safe inner city location. This group is for people who identify as men, aged 40+ who identify as same sex attracted, this group will explore what it means to be same-sex attracted, and navigating as well as interacting with the wider LGBTIQ Community.

World AIDS Day is held on 1 December each year. It raises awareness across the world and in the community about the issues surrounding HIV and AIDS. It is a day for people to show their support for people living with HIV and to commemorate people who have died.

Fair Day

Fair Day is an annual event which marks the start of the SpringOUT Pride Festival and celebrates LGBTIQ communities in Canberra. Fair Day will once again provide a relaxed community atmosphere, information and business stalls, engaging entertainment and delicious food in Spring 2017.

International AIDS Candlelight Memorial

International AIDS Candlelight Memorial

The International AIDS Candlelight Memorial, coordinated by the Global Network of People living with HIV is one of the world’s oldest and largest grassroots mobilization campaigns for HIV awareness in the world. Started in 1983, the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial takes place every third Sunday in May and is led by a coalition of some 1,200 community organizations in 115 countries. Helping Herd Wordshop

Helping Herd Wordshop

Join us for Helping Herd – an equine therapy workshop for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, and Queer (LGBTIQ) people. The aim of the workshop is to give you the opportunity to reflect on positive mental health and build skills of resilience, as well as to have conversations addressing stigma and discrimination relating to mental illness.

The workshop is open to 10 participants and will run for a full day. Attendance is free and the event is catered.
