Get PEP : New national campaign

A new campaign from the Australian Federation of AIDS Organisations (AFAO) will seek to increase the awareness of Post-Exposure Prophylaxis, also known as PEP, amongst gay and bisexual men. PEP is a vital part of preventing HIV transmission as quick action to access PEP can stop potential HIV transmission.

The ACT already has the highest levels of awareness amongst gay and bisexual men about PEP (Canberra Gay Community Periodic Survey, 2013), but there is significant room for improvement.

Over coming months posters and cards will be distributed across the ACT promoting the recently updated website Get PEP, and a significant amount of resources will be put towards online promotion.
