Join the 2018 Camp
When and where is Encampment in 2018?
In 2018, Camp will be held on the weekend of the 14th and 15th of April. Camp will be held at Peakgrove Solutions. Participants will be transported by bus to and from the AIDS Action Council office at Havelock House in Turner.
Peakgrove Solutions is located on a beautiful bush property adjacent to the Yass River, about an hour north of Canberra. Peakgrove Solutions Facilitators specialise in equine therapy. Equine therapy uses peoples' experiences with horses as a conduit for the formation of new skills and approaches to life. Read more about Equine Therapy here.
Participants will have the opportunity to interact with the horses at camp along with many other activities and workshops. You can get to know the beautiful Peakgrove Herd here.
What activities can I expect at camp?
Camp will feature a wide variety of fun and adventurous activities and experiences. There will be hikes and yoga, workshops and chats on history and activism, craft and drama workshops, heaps of nutritious food, time to meet other people and chat, and a campfire (with marshmallows).
