The Council has a wide variety of online and print resources covering HIV, STis, safe sex, sexuality, gender and related topics. We also encourage the use of our spaces by all members of the community, but especially those most affected by HIV and the LGBTI community. After-hours access is available for both spaces.

SWOP ACT

SWOP ACT

The Sex Worker Outreach Program of the ACT (SWOP ACT) is a peer-based community organisation whose primary purpose is the prevention of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs), through education and referral.

Needle & Syringe Program

Needle & Syringe Program

We use of a variety of harm minimisation practices to reduce the transmission of HIV. One of the most effective ways of doing this has been the provision of the Needle & Syringe Program (NSP). NSPs are a public health initiative to provide sterile injecting equipment to reduce the harm that can come from sharing equipment.
